USC Global Supply Chain Management (M.S.) Video Essay
Hi, my name is Eric, and I’m excited to share my journey and why I chose the University of Southern California (USC) for my Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM). Having lived in the LA area for the past 12 years, I truly recognize the importance of this city’s role in the global supply chain network.
Being admitted to USC’s MP Global Supply Chain Management program is a transformative opportunity for me. Located adjacent to the nation’s largest international trade hub, LA offers invaluable hands-on training through its live projects, coupled with a state-of-the-art academic foundation through a broad range of coursework.
One of the major attractions of this program is the flexibility it offers, with options for instruction both on campus and online. This is just one of the many unique opportunities that I believe will enhance my educational experience. Additionally, being part of the Randol R. Kendrick Global Supply Chain Institute will allow me to gain access to industry professionals and attend the Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit. This exposure will be invaluable for honing my skills and perhaps paving the way for internships in the future.
Moreover, the experiential trips that students are invited to join will connect us with local industry experts while touring innovative, forward-thinking facilities. This opportunity will deepen my knowledge in the field significantly.
With a keen interest in Asia, especially China, I find the chance to take experiential learning trips to Singapore, Hong Kong, or Shanghai incredibly appealing. These experiences will undoubtedly broaden my international exposure and enrich my understanding of the global supply chain landscape.
Finally, I’m proud to consider enrolling in a program ranked number one in Global Supply Chain Management by U.S. News & World Report. The prestige associated with USC’s program in preparing students for careers in the global supply chain industry is genuinely unmatched. I am thrilled at the prospect of being part of this remarkable academic community.
